Kathy Leyden
Kathy Leyden, Sheridan Hollow Drop-In Center Program Director has been employed at Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless since 2003. Her wealth of experience has bloomed as she advanced from Housing Case Manager to Clinical Case Manager and most recently Program Director of the Sheridan Hollow Drop-In Center in 2006. Kathy earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University at Albany and subsequently obtained her social work licensure in New York State.
Kathy was directly involved in the grant writing process for obtaining funding to develop and open the Drop-In Center, which is the first program of its kind in Albany County. This program has been hugely successful to date and continues to grow under Kathy's direction. In her position as Program Director, Kathy is a strong advocate for programs that are helping the homeless population. Aspects of her job that she particularly enjoys include program and policy development, legislative advocacy, grant writing and promoting community awareness of issues surrounding homelessness. Her energy and commitment are a tremendous value for the people served by Interfaith.
Kathy lives in Slingerlands and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her two border collies.
